Is this not possible? It does a terrible ding dong sound…?
Hello @Doeppi
I checked and it really doesn’t work, I’ll report this to the aqara team.
It’s impossible to assign a custom ringtone via automation because it won’t play on the external module. @Aqara_PM_Donie I need your help.
Thanks you.
Thank you so much. This has been bugging me for a while. It worked with my G4.
Yes, the G410 outdoor unit is designed as a no-changing sound mode, even the sound volume cannot be adjusted, the G4 never has this feature.
My nephew came to my house for summer vacation last month, and I set up a doorbell automation for him. When the doorbell detected him ringing, it played a specified custom ringtone. This automation works normally, so I think there may be some operational issues. Please contact Aqara official customer service for assistance< support@aqara.com >
Exactly this. G4 worked via automation, in my case without face detection but for everyone.
Maybe I didn’t explain it correctly, but this automation doesn’t work for me and I asked several other people, it doesn’t work for them either.
I’ll write to support@aqara.com, maybe the problem is not widespread.
Support was able to resolve this issue by updating my firmware!
