I’m from the Netherlands and I’m using the Aqara G410 for a while. I love how easy it’s working with apple home. My question is, how can I or is it possible to change from matter to zigbee via the M3 hub?
The G410 is a standalone Video Doorbell Hub and doesn’t require an additional hub like the M3.
It connects to your network via Wi-Fi, not Zigbee or Thread. However, you can connect other Zigbee or Thread devices directly to the doorbell, using it as a hub.
Just like the M3, the G410 also functions as a Matter Controller. Keep in mind that video isn’t transmitted using the brand-new Matter 1.5 standard. Instead, it streams via HomeKit Secure Video (HKSV), or via RTSP (which requires the doorbell to be hardwired to a permanent power source). Or in other words, it is a Matter hub, but not a Matter accessory itself.
