What can I do to extend the record time of the G5 camera after and event has been triggered without continuous recording as I don’t have a NAS. I keep missing most of a triggered event because it stops recording after 13 seconds.

Good question. I am very curious how to extend the recording time.
No way, the maximum will be 12 seconds of recording because this is related to saving to the cloud and it would be problematic to upload long videos there and they take up too much space.
It is possible only using NAS
