I set up an automation to turn on my camera light at 8:30pm and go off at 1:00am but it does seem to work at all.
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong please.

I would recommend making the following two adjustments:
I did try “at sunset turn the light on” first of all but this never worked either.
As the sunset time changes throughout the year.
For sunset, you need to make another automation.
What I meant is sunset was my first automation, but even when it got pitch black the light never came on.
Hello, do you have a motion or door opening sensor in your smart home that triggers at sunset (motion, opening)?
No I don’t, none of my sensors use this option.
Just to say the automation with the delay set to 4.5 hours did not either.
The light was still on this morning.
Thanks
Check the event log, maybe another automation (old one) has started the lighting again. You can see this in the automation event log.
Ok thanks will check soon.
Nothing in my logs, I only got the g5 pro a few days ago as well.
I can’t find the home location setting ?
Ok thanks, yes the location is set to my home town, so this is correct.
Firmware all up to date, I do this whenever I get a new Aqara device and also check regularly.
Then make the following scene to check the On/Off operation of the G5 light. As a test of correct operation.
Yeh that works fine, I set it to 3 mins instead of 10.
Make this script with your time (4.30 hrs) and use it in automation.
WHEN 22.30,
THEN run scene .
Sorry what do you mean by make a script ?
