Do the G5 Pro’s lack any sort of noise filtering whatsoever?
Have these setup in the same locations as the nest outdoor cameras I had beforehand and the ability to actually hear audio and communicate two-way on these G5 pro’s is virtually impossible a lot of the time.
The G350’s don’t suffer from these issues. The audio is clear, there’s no constant insane amount of noise feedback, but this doesn’t apply to the G5 Pro’s.
If there’s literally any noise from wind (these are outdoor cameras, of course there will be wind) the mics are unable to filter it and pickup any actually relevant audio. A car driving by sounds like a freight train and completely peaks the audio. The volume adjuster in the app does not solve this issue at all. It either makes voices impossible to hear while still getting incredible noise, or makes everything so quiet it may as well be mute.
One of my G5 pro’s (wifi) is in a pretty sheltered spot in regards to wind shielding, and it exhibits the exact same issues as say my driveway camera (PoE) mounted above the door without much shielding. None of these cameras are placed next to 2 walls to cause audio echoing/bouncing that would stress even great noise filtration.
The G100’s are noticeably even worse than the G5 but for outdoor use, neither camera is suitable if audio matters at all at present.
