My goal was to receive notifications if my garage door remained open after a certain time, which I achieved by combining a garage door controller (LFM-20) with a door/window sensor. - Hardware Setup: Install the garage door controller and sensor. Ensure they are within range of your Vera hub.
- Vera Configuration: Add both devices to your Vera system through the device setup wizard.
- Automation Rule Creation: Navigate to the automation section and create a new rule. Set the condition to check if the garage door is open after 8 PM. Trigger a notification to your phone.
