Garage Door Sensor Adjustment Solution

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a solution I found for adjusting my garage door sensor. I recently installed the Econolink Zwave Plus garage door tilt sensor and was having trouble getting it to detect a slightly open door without false alerts. After some research and experimentation, I came up with a method that works perfectly!

Instead of the standard flush mount, I attached my sensor to a small piece of 2x4 using a bolt. This allowed me to rotate the sensor for fine adjustments. I tightened the bolt once I achieved the desired sensitivity. The sensor now trips before the door is even 3 inches open, and I haven’t had any false alarms yet!

One tip: Make sure the board you use is at least as wide as the sensor to avoid any interference during rotation. I hope this helps someone else out there! :fire_engine::sparkles:
