Hi everyone, I recently installed the GE/Jaco Motion Dimmer Switch (GE 26933) and noticed an interesting issue. While it works perfectly with the SmartThings Classic app, I encountered a persistent error in the Samsung Connect app: ‘Can’t Connect to device. Check device and try again.’ This was puzzling because the switch functioned flawlessly elsewhere.
After some research and trial and error, I discovered that the issue might be related to the device’s firmware or compatibility settings within the Samsung Connect app. I decided to update the firmware, which resolved the problem. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when dealing with firmware updates, but in this case, it paid off!
