GE Link Bulbs: A Journey of Persistence and Problem-Solving

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience with GE Link bulbs and how I’ve been trying to troubleshoot their occasional connectivity issues. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m determined to figure this out before replacing all my bulbs, which would be quite the expense!

I’ve had these bulbs for a few years now, and for the most part, they’ve been reliable. But every once in a while, they just stop working. Last week was one of those weeks, and I’ve been spending a lot of time researching possible solutions. From what I’ve read, opinions are pretty divided. Some people say to just give up and replace them, while others suggest resetting the bulbs or updating the hub firmware. I’ve tried resetting, but it didn’t help. I’m now considering reaching out to SmartThings support to see if updating the zigbee firmware on my hub might resolve the issue.

I’d love to hear if anyone else has had success with these bulbs and what steps they took to keep them working. I’m really hoping to avoid replacing them all, as it would be quite costly. Plus, I’ve grown quite fond of their consistent performance over the years.
