GE Z-Wave Dimmer Unexpected Behavior - Seeking Advice

Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you all well! I’ve been experiencing an unusual issue with my GE Z-Wave Dimmer, and I’m hoping someone here might have some insight or advice.

So, the setup is this: I’ve got a front door light controlled by this GE Z-Wave Dimmer. It’s supposed to turn on when motion is detected or when I manually activate it. But here’s the strange part - regardless of when I turn it on, it seems to turn off on its own after a short while. It’s as if there’s some programmed schedule doing this automatically, but I’ve checked and there’s nothing set up like that.

I do have a sunset routine that turns on other lights in the house, including this dimmer, and that works perfectly fine. It’s just this one dimmer that’s acting up. I’ve noticed this happening at inconsistent times, sometimes within seconds of me turning it on. It’s pretty frustrating because I rely on this light for safety when I come home at night.

One thing I think might be relevant is that this switch was used in our previous home before we moved in. Could there be some residual programming or settings from its previous installation that’s causing this? I’ve tried resetting it to factory settings, but the issue persists.

I’d really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions on how to troubleshoot this. Is there a way to completely clear any previous configurations? Could there be interference from other devices? I’m at a loss here, and I’d hate to have to replace the dimmer if I can fix this somehow.

On a lighter note, I’ve been really impressed with how helpful and supportive this community is. It’s great to know there are experts out there willing to share their knowledge. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Best regards,
