Hi,

How can I create an automation based on the geofence of both my phone and my wife’s phone?

I want the alarm system to automatically switch to Away mode when neither of us is at home.

Hi, it’s not possible now, but it will probably be in the future. Stay tuned and keep an eye on the news.
If you use HK, you can set it up there.

Hello, this feature is currently undergoing intensive testing. There is hope that (my assumption) this feature will be released with an updated version that will include automation 2.0.

When will this be ready?

This feature has been released with version 6.0. Update your app, enable Smart 2.0, and use the Geofence 2.0 functionality to create corresponding automations. Note that this feature is reportedly still in the laboratory phase.

Hi, Sonja, thanks for the tip. 6.0 was released on September 9. I was on the test version, so I didn’t follow it.

Hi,
Since updating to iOS 26, the geofencing feature isn’t working. Is this something known?

Hello, have you checked the permissions on your iPhone (permanent access to geolocation)? They need to be granted from the phone, not from the app. If granted from the app, the changes are not saved.
