Just jumped into the smart home world as a total beginner and decided to give Aqara a shot—mainly because their stuff looks clean and the price didn’t hurt. But what really got me curious was all the buzz about Matter. Interoperability? Control from different platforms? Sounds like magic.

So here’s how it went down: got myself the Aqara Hub M2 and a few sensors (door/window, motion, you know the basics). Added them in the Aqara app, all smooth. Then came the Matter part… that’s when things got a little bumpy.
