The installation process was straightforward, but I quickly realized that the real challenge was in the configuration and automation setup.One of the first things I tackled was setting up a simple automation to turn on the lights in the evening. I used the built-in app to create a flow that activates at sunset, adjusting the brightness based on the time of year. It worked perfectly, and it gave me a sense of accomplishment.However, I soon encountered a problem with my smart plugs. I noticed that some devices weren’t responding consistently. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that the issue was related to the network setup. I realized that my Wi-Fi coverage wasn’t optimal in certain areas of the house. To resolve this, I invested in a mesh Wi-Fi system, which significantly improved the reliability of my smart devices.Another challenge I faced was integrating my thermostat with the rest of the system. I wanted the thermostat to adjust the temperature based on my location, but the initial setup didn’t quite work as expected.
