Hello everyone! I’m relatively new to OpenHAB and I’m trying to set up a system where I can track whether members of my household are at home or away. I came across the Unifi binding and it seems like a great solution, but I’m not entirely sure how to get it working properly.
So far, I’ve managed to install the Unifi binding, but I’m stuck on the next steps. I want to create a rule that triggers when someone enters or leaves the house, but I’m not sure how to configure it correctly. Does anyone have a step-by-step guide or some tips they could share?
I’ve read that the Unifi binding can track devices based on their MAC addresses, but I’m not entirely clear on how to set that up. Should I be using Presence detection or something else? I’m also wondering if there are any common pitfalls I should be aware of when setting this up.
