I just got into the world of Z-Wave and smart home devices, and I’m super excited to share my journey! I recently added a Z-Wave board to my setup and decided to start with the Schlage 469 lock. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m determined to figure this out.
So, I did a hard reset on the lock, placed the ISY board near the door, and tried excluding the device before adding it. Everything seemed to go smoothly at first, but then I noticed the window just sat there saying “Listening for Z-Wave…”. I’m not sure if the blue light on the ISY board should be lit up during this process. Any insights would be super helpful!
I’ve tried a few troubleshooting steps: resetting the lock, ensuring the ISY is close enough, and even checking the exclusion process again. But I’m still stuck at the same screen. I’m wondering if there’s something I’m missing or if there’s a different approach I should take. Maybe I need to update some firmware or check the network settings?
I’m really hoping to get this lock integrated so I can start automating my entryway. It would be amazing to have the lights turn on as I unlock the door or set up some security routines. But first things first, I need to get past this hurdle.
