I tried setting an automation in HomeKit for Aqara U300 to lock when I leave the house and unlock when I arrive based on my location but every time it asked for a confirmation because Apple sees it as a security risk . The workaround to get rid of that confirmation prompt is to create a automation to turn a smart plug on/of and then create another set of automations based on the state of the smart plug to lock or unlock the Aqara U300. If you have home assistant you can create a dummy switch then import it into HomeKit and apply the same logic as wit a real switch.

Why the detour via HomeKit? You can use the geolocation directly in the Aqara app. Sure, it’s in beta, but I use the geolocation in the Aqara app to control my cameras. When I get home, the cameras go into sleep mode, and when I leave the house, they turn back on. Even though it’s only a beta, it works 90% of the time.

I plan on using Aqara app for some automations once I receive the M3 hub, for now I can’t setup automations for the U300 in the app, it asks for a hub.
Get the M3 Hub and all your “problems” are solved
