Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with my new Govee Christmas lights setup. I absolutely love how vibrant and customizable these RGBWIC lights are! I’ve been using them to decorate my home, and the color transitions are simply stunning. I paired them with a Node-RED flow to create dynamic lighting effects based on my daily schedule. For example, the lights shift to warmer tones in the evening to create a cozy atmosphere. It’s been a great way to enhance my smart home experience without breaking the bank.
I also wanted to touch on a challenge I faced recently with my Wyze cameras. I noticed that the Wyze CAR app wasn’t functioning properly on my Android device, specifically when trying to name the car during setup. After some research, I found that others were experiencing similar issues. I reached out to the Wyze support team, and they mentioned it’s a known bug they’re working on fixing. While waiting for the update, I’ve been using the Wyze app as a temporary workaround. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m hopeful they’ll resolve it soon.
On a more positive note, I’ve been experimenting with MQTT and Node-RED to integrate some of my older devices with my newer smart home setup. It’s been a steep learning curve, but the results have been fantastic! I managed to get my Tuya devices communicating seamlessly with my Zigbee network. If anyone is interested, I’d be happy to share my flow setup or troubleshoot any issues you might encounter.
Lastly, I wanted to mention the amazing community support I’ve received so far. Whether it’s troubleshooting device compatibility or sharing tips for automations, the advice has been invaluable. I’m really grateful to be part of such a helpful and enthusiastic group!
Happy smart home tinkering, everyone! ![]()
