The holiday season is here, and I’ve been diving into creating the most magical Christmas setup using my Govee lights!
This year, I decided to take it up a notch by combining multiple strands of Govee Christmas lights to create a stunning display across my house. From the bottom trim to the archway, every corner has been transformed into a festive wonderland. ![]()
Here’s what I did and some tips I’d love to share:
- Layering Lights: I used two strands of Govee Christmas string lights on the bottom trim and one on the arch. This creates a beautiful layered effect without overwhelming the space.

- Color Coordination: I mixed warm white and multicolored lights to add depth and variety. The warm white lights provide a soft glow, while the multicolored ones add that festive pop!

- DIY Touch: I created a black frame for my curtain lights, which really makes them stand out. It’s a simple DIY project that adds a professional touch.

- Energy Efficiency: I made sure to use timers to control the lights, ensuring they only come on during the evening. This helps save energy while still maintaining that festive feel.

If you’re new to Govee or just looking to enhance your setup, here are some tips:
- Start Small: Don’t feel like you need to cover every inch of your house. Start with one area and gradually expand.
- Experiment with Placement: Play around with where you place your lights. Sometimes, unexpected placements can create the most stunning effects.
- Use Timers: They’re your best friend for maintaining energy efficiency and ensuring your lights are only on when needed.
I’m absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out, and I can’t wait to see it all lit up this holiday season!
