Greetings, Govee community! ![]()
I wanted to share a fun and easy DIY project I recently completed using my Govee lights. Halloween is just around the corner, and I decided to create a spooky yet welcoming ambiance for my front porch. Here’s how I did it:
-
Materials Needed:
- Govee LED strip lights (I used the RGBICW 16ft strip)
- Black fabric or paper
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Pumpkins or Halloween decorations
-
Setup:
- I wrapped the LED strip around the edges of my porch steps, creating a glowing outline.
- Using black fabric, I covered the strip to create a subtle, eerie glow effect.
- I placed small pumpkins at the base of the steps, using the LED strip to highlight them.
-
Customization:
- I programmed the lights to cycle through orange, red, and purple tones for a haunted vibe.
- Using the Govee app, I set a routine to turn the lights on at sunset and off at 11 PM.
This project was surprisingly simple and took less than an hour to complete. The result? A spooky yet cozy welcome for trick-or-treaters! ![]()
