Govee DIY Project: A Fun and Easy Halloween Setup

:jack_o_lantern: Greetings, Govee community! :jack_o_lantern:

I wanted to share a fun and easy DIY project I recently completed using my Govee lights. Halloween is just around the corner, and I decided to create a spooky yet welcoming ambiance for my front porch. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Materials Needed:

    • Govee LED strip lights (I used the RGBICW 16ft strip)
    • Black fabric or paper
    • Scissors
    • Double-sided tape
    • Pumpkins or Halloween decorations
  2. Setup:

    • I wrapped the LED strip around the edges of my porch steps, creating a glowing outline.
    • Using black fabric, I covered the strip to create a subtle, eerie glow effect.
    • I placed small pumpkins at the base of the steps, using the LED strip to highlight them.
  3. Customization:

    • I programmed the lights to cycle through orange, red, and purple tones for a haunted vibe.
    • Using the Govee app, I set a routine to turn the lights on at sunset and off at 11 PM.

This project was surprisingly simple and took less than an hour to complete. The result? A spooky yet cozy welcome for trick-or-treaters! :jack_o_lantern::ghost:

A huge shoutout to the Govee community for the inspiration and support. Your ideas and tips have been invaluable! :bulb:

Happy Halloween everyone! :jack_o_lantern:
