Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Govee Egg night light. Earlier this year, I purchased the Govee Egg, and I must say, it has been a fantastic addition to my home! The ability to customize the lighting through various DIYs shared by the community has been a game-changer for me. However, I recently received a replacement unit after my initial one started flickering and malfunctioning. Unfortunately, the new one seems to be exhibiting the same issues as the previous one, which is quite disappointing.
I’ve been experimenting with different DIYs provided by other community members, but many of them either don’t display correctly or cause the light to shut off. For now, switching to a different DIY or reverting to a standard scene seems to be the workaround. I’m hoping this is just a temporary glitch and that the device will stabilize over time. It’s a shame because the Govee Egg’s potential is immense, and I’d hate to see it underperform due to these issues.
On a brighter note, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with the customer service from Govee. Unlike my experience with Philips Hue, where I found their support to be lackluster, Govee has been attentive and helpful. Their Instagram reposts are also a delightful touch, showing genuine appreciation for their customers. I’ve even found myself using the Govee lights to help set the mood during meditation sessions, which has been incredibly soothing.
