I recently had the pleasure of installing the Govee Envisual TV BackLight T2 on my 65-inch Samsung curved-screen TV, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic upgrade to my home theater setup. After years of using the H6199 T1, I was eager to see what improvements the T2 could bring, especially with the introduction of the DreamView feature that allows synchronization of additional lights for a more immersive experience.
The installation process was straightforward, and the design of the T2 is a significant improvement over its predecessor. The camera, which is now mounted on top of the TV, uses a clever counter-balance design that keeps it sturdy and secure without the need for adhesives. While I initially preferred the bottom-mounted camera for its unobtrusive appearance, the T2’s top-mounted setup has proven to be more responsive to screen colors and motion. This has greatly enhanced the overall viewing experience, making movie nights and gaming sessions even more enjoyable.
One feature I particularly appreciate is the double density of the light strips, which provides much smoother and more precise lighting adjustments. The improved camera sensor also means better detection of screen content, resulting in more accurate light synchronization. I’m excited to see what Govee will come up with next, and I highly recommend the T2 to anyone looking to elevate their TV viewing experience.
