Govee Experience and Battery Replacement Tips

I’ve been really enjoying my Govee devices lately! The Flow Plus and Lively sensors have been such a great addition to my home setup. I just wanted to share a few tips that might help others using Govee products.

First, I love how easy it is to set up these devices. The app is user-friendly, and the sensors are responsive. However, one thing that initially tripped me up was the installation angle. I found that mounting the camera at a 90° angle worked much better for my setup than the standard 0° or 180° options. It’s all about finding the right perspective for your space!

Another tip I’d like to share is about battery replacement. I’ve noticed that the sensors use very specific battery types, which can be a bit of a pain to find. But here’s a hack: I keep a spare battery pack in the device box itself. It’s a small thing, but it makes maintenance so much easier. Plus, I’ve heard that Govee is considering selling these batteries directly in their app store, which would be fantastic!

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with DIY projects using Govee components. I recently made my own gradient light strip using an ESP8266 board and WS2812B LEDs. It’s been a fun challenge, and the results are stunning! If anyone is interested in trying something similar, I’d be happy to share more details.

Overall, I’m really impressed with Govee’s products and their commitment to improving user experience. Keep up the great work, Govee!
