On another note, I’ve been experimenting with integrating my solar panels into my smart home system. Detecting when the panels trip out has been a bit of a challenge, but I’ve been exploring options like monitoring electricity flow or checking the status of the solar meter. Lastly, I wanted to share a quick tip for anyone using MQTT switches. I struggled a bit with getting two states (ON/OFF) to work reliably, but after some trial and error, I found that adjusting the outbound commands and ensuring proper authentication made all the difference.
