Hello everyone! I wanted to share my recent success with setting up a Govee Heating and Temperature Automation system. I’ve been wanting to automate my heating system for a while, and after some research, I decided to go with the Govee Smart Plug H5080 for extended Wi-Fi power reset, the Thermometer H5072 for outside temps, and the Heater H7130 with the Thermometer H5051. I linked everything together for my Dwarf Squirrel cage in the shed, and it’s been working beautifully!
The setup wasn’t too complicated, but I did run into a few hiccups along the way. Initially, I struggled with getting the smart plug to consistently reset, but after adjusting the placement and ensuring a stable Wi-Fi connection, it started working like a charm. The temperature sensors are providing accurate readings, and the heater responds perfectly to the temperature changes I set in my automation rules.
One thing I found particularly useful was the ability to monitor everything from my phone using the Govee app. It’s amazing how peace of mind it gives me knowing that my little friend is comfortable, even when I’m not at home. I also appreciate the energy-saving features of the smart plug, which helps keep my electricity bills in check.
For anyone looking to set up a similar system, I’d recommend starting with a clear plan of what you want to achieve. Take the time to read through the manuals and maybe watch a few setup tutorials online. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the community if you run into any issues; the support here is fantastic!
Overall, I’m thrilled with how this project turned out. It’s a great example of how smart home technology can make our lives easier and more comfortable. If you have any questions or need advice, feel free to ask—I’m happy to help!
