Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my recent experience with setting up some Govee RGBIC LED strips in my home. It’s been a fantastic journey, and I’m thrilled with the results. Let me walk you through it!
First off, I’ve always been a fan of smart lighting, but never really ventured into RGB strips until now. I decided to give the Govee strips a try after seeing some rave reviews online. The installation process was surprisingly straightforward, especially with the included adhesive strips. I was able to mount them along my TV wall in no time!
The setup with my Home Assistant was a breeze too. I used the official Govee integration, and within minutes, I had full control over the colors and brightness right from my phone. The RGBIC feature is absolutely stunning—it really brings the room to life with vibrant colors. I’ve even created some custom scenes that change colors based on my mood or the time of day.
One thing I’d like to mention is the color spectrum. While it’s wide, I noticed that the orange tones have a slight yellowish tint, which is something to keep in mind if you’re going for a specific color scheme. However, this didn’t detract from my overall experience at all.
