The Govee Light Festival 2025 has been an absolute blast! 
I’ve been participating in these events for a few years now, and each year gets better and better. This year, I decided to really go all out with my lighting setup, and I have to say, it’s been worth every bit of effort!
For those of you who haven’t tried it yet, the Govee Light Festival is the perfect opportunity to let your creativity shine. I love how they combine amazing lighting effects with music and unique environments to create such a relaxing and festive atmosphere. It’s like a whole new world of possibilities opens up when you start experimenting with your lights!
One of my favorite things about this year’s event was the way I fused music with my lighting setup. I found that certain colors and patterns really complement specific genres of music, and it added such a dynamic element to my setup. If you haven’t tried syncing your lights with your favorite playlist, I highly recommend giving it a shot!
Another tip I have for anyone participating is to think about the practicality of your setup. I brought along some disposable plates, balloons, and even a small inflator to make things easier. It might seem minor, but having these little extras on hand really helps when you’re trying to deck out your space last minute.
I also loved the sense of community at the festival. Seeing everyone’s unique takes on the theme was so inspiring. Whether it was someone’s elaborate light display or their quirky DIY decorations, it reminded me that there’s no wrong way to enjoy this event—it’s all about having fun and expressing yourself!
As for the awards, they’re definitely a huge motivator. It’s amazing to see how much effort people put into their submissions, and it really pushes you to step up your game. I’m already brainstorming ideas for next year’s entry, and I can’t wait to see what everyone else comes up with!
