Hey everyone!
I just wanted to share my experience with the Govee Corner competition at FanFest ‘23. It was such a fun way to showcase my Govee setup and get some great prizes! Here’s a quick rundown of my journey and some tips for anyone looking to participate in future competitions.
First, I decided to go all out with my Govee lights. I’ve been a fan of their products for a while now, and this was the perfect opportunity to highlight how versatile and customizable they are. I chose a mix of different lights to create a cohesive yet dynamic setup. The key was to ensure everything was well-lit and visually appealing, as the submission is judged based on the image quality.
I spent some time experimenting with angles and lighting to make sure my setup looked its best. I also made sure to follow the submission guidelines carefully – the image needed to be a square format, so I cropped it accordingly. After submitting, I was thrilled to see my entry in the competition and the excitement from the community voting!
Here are a few tips for anyone planning to participate:
- Plan your setup: Think about how you want your Govee devices to look together. Mix and match different types of lights for a varied aesthetic.
- Lighting is key: Make sure your setup is well-lit. Natural light or evenly distributed lighting works best to showcase your devices.
- Follow the guidelines: Pay attention to the image size and format requirements to ensure your submission is accepted.
- Engage with the community: Voting is a big part of the fun, so don’t hesitate to reach out and get others excited about your setup!
I ended up winning a few Govee devices, which was such a great bonus! It’s amazing to see how a simple competition can bring the community together and inspire creativity. If you haven’t tried Govee yet, I highly recommend giving them a shot – they’re reliable, customizable, and perfect for any home setup.
Thank you to everyone who voted for me and supported the competition!
It was a fantastic experience, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s FanFest! ![]()
