Govee Lyra Review and DIY Lighting Experience

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my experience with the Govee Lyra and Lyra Lite light strips. I recently purchased both, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed with their build quality and versatility. The Lyra Lite is thinner and longer, which makes it a great fit for my setup, but I noticed that the DIY effects are a bit too fast and hectic compared to the standard Lyra. The silver Lyra, on the other hand, offers a more balanced experience, and I love how smooth the transitions are.

One thing I’d love to see improved across all Govee products is the ability to adjust the brightness of scenes. It’s something I’ve noticed in my usage, and I think it would add even more flexibility to these already amazing devices.

A minor downside I encountered is the cable positioning on the Lyra. When I angle the lamp towards the wall, the cable becomes visible, which isn’t as sleek as I’d hoped. However, this doesn’t detract from my overall satisfaction with the product.

The possibilities with these light strips are truly endless, and experimenting with different setups has been a lot of fun. I’m already planning my next DIY lighting project with these Govee lamps! If you haven’t tried them yet, I highly recommend giving them a shot.
