Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience setting up the Govee Mini Panel Lights. It’s been a fun project, and I thought I’d walk through what I did and some tips I picked up along the way.
So, I started with two sets of 20 lights and seven expansion sets, totaling 110 lights. The goal was to have them all powered and controlled seamlessly. Initially, I connected both power supplies, but one didn’t seem to work. After some research and community advice, I realized the issue was with how the power supplies were calibrated. I ended up using one power supply for the entire setup, which worked perfectly.
In the Govee app, I noticed that each Mini Panel Light was detected as a separate device. One showed all 110 lights, while the other only showed 18. This was a bit confusing, but I found out that calibration was key. By carefully going through the calibration process, I ensured both devices recognized their respective lights without errors.
One thing I learned is to take it slow during calibration. Rushing can lead to missed lights or test errors. I also discovered that the app sometimes needs a fresh start, so I’d recommend closing it and reopening after major changes.
Now, all my lights are up and running, and it’s amazing to see them illuminate my space. They’re perfect for creating different moods, and the app makes adjusting them a breeze.
If anyone else is working on a similar project, feel free to reach out! I’d be happy to share more details or troubleshoot any issues you might encounter. Happy lighting! ![]()
