Govee Outdoor Lighting Project and Weather Resilience Update

I wanted to share an update on my Govee Outdoor Lamp Post Lights project, which I’ve been running since January 2025. As someone who lives in Minnesota, I’ve experienced some extreme weather conditions, including multiple blizzards, thunderstorms, and sub-zero temperatures. Despite all this, the Govee lights have held up remarkably well!

The only minor issue I noticed was that one of the stakes holding the base became slightly loose after a particularly heavy snowfall. However, this was an easy fix, and after tightening it, everything has been running smoothly. The lights provide excellent visibility and have become a beautiful addition to my front yard, especially during the colder months.

I’ve also been experimenting with integrating these lights into my broader smart home setup. For instance, I’ve set up a scene where the lights automatically adjust their brightness based on the time of day and weather conditions. This integration has been seamless, thanks to the Govee app’s user-friendly interface.

If you’re considering outdoor lighting for your home, I highly recommend checking out the Govee Outdoor Lamp Post Lights. They’re durable, energy-efficient, and offer a wide range of customization options. Plus, the ability to control them via a smartphone app adds a whole new level of convenience!

Any other Govee users out there? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have for optimizing these lights. Let’s keep the conversation going!
