This holiday season, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my Govee Outdoor Music Box!
It’s truly transformed my backyard into a festive wonderland. I wanted to share my experience and a little tip that might help others who are as excited as I am about these devices.Earlier this year, I purchased the Govee Outdoor Music Box to control my holiday lights. I was so excited to set it up, but I quickly noticed that some of my devices weren’t responding as I hoped. Specifically, my 12-inch ceiling light, cone tree, and E12 candle bulbs weren’t syncing up with the outdoor control box. I reached out to Govee in a few posts, but didn’t get a response—maybe it got lost in the shuffle. After some research and experimentation, I discovered that the indoor sync box could be the solution! While it only connects up to 7 devices compared to the outdoor box’s 10, it was perfect for my setup. I now use the indoor box to control my cone tree, two candle lights, and the ceiling light, while the outdoor box handles the rest. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it works beautifully! Here’s a quick tip: If you’re using the indoor sync box, make sure to keep it in a safe, dry spot since it’s not weatherproof. I placed mine near my door, where it’s easily accessible but protected from the elements. The best part? My entire setup now works seamlessly, creating a synchronized light show that’s perfect for the holidays. It’s amazing to see how all my devices come together in perfect harmony. I even included the recessed lights for comparison, and they look stunning when controlled by the outdoor box!If anyone else is struggling with their Govee devices, I hope this tip helps. It’s all about finding the right combination of controllers to make everything work. Happy holidays and happy lighting! ![]()
