Govee Outdoor Neon Rope Lights: A Bright Addition to My Home

I recently got my hands on the Govee outdoor neon rope lights, and I must say, they’ve added a whole new dimension of brightness to my outdoor spaces. The vibrant colors and flexibility make them perfect for highlighting walkways, decorating the garden, and even creating a cozy ambiance for evening gatherings. However, there’s one thing that’s been on my mind—how to manage specific segments of the lights when I want them off completely. I’ve tried dimming them to 1%, but it’s not quite the same as having them off. Has anyone figured out a way to completely shut off a small segment in the middle? I’d love to hear your tips and tricks!

On another note, I’ve been exploring the world of smart locks with my Nuki system. The auto-unlock feature was a game-changer with my previous black edition, but I noticed some quirks after upgrading to the white edition. The auto-unlock still works, but sometimes I have to manually trigger the connection. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I’m curious if others have experienced this or found a workaround. Also, I’m wondering if there’s a hidden menu or a quick way to test auto-unlock without leaving the geofence—would be super handy for troubleshooting!

Lastly, I’ve been diving into the Wyze ecosystem after a long journey with Zoneminder. The Wyze cameras are a breath of fresh air with their user-friendly setup and continuous video storage in the cloud. It’s been a smooth transition, and I’m even considering upgrading to CamPlus for unlimited motion clips. The convenience of remote access and the savings on electricity bills make it a no-brainer for me. If you’re on the fence about Wyze, I’d highly recommend giving it a try!

Let me know your thoughts or experiences with these devices—I’m always eager to learn and improve my smart home setup!
