Govee Relative Brightness and Broadlink Integration Tips

Hey everyone, I wanted to share some of my recent experiences with Govee and Broadlink, as well as a helpful tip that might be useful for others. :star2:

First off, I’ve been really impressed with Govee’s lighting products. Their ability to create ambiance is unmatched, and the app integration is seamless. However, I’ve been hoping for a feature to adjust the relative brightness of devices within a group. Imagine having a setup where one light is dimmer than others, and being able to scale all of them up or down without adjusting each individually. Govee, please consider this! :bulb:

On the Broadlink front, I’ve been experimenting with their RMpro and integrating it with my smart home setup. Initially, I was a bit overwhelmed by the scripting required, but I found a fantastic app called IHC that made things much easier. It allows for voice control and even integrates with Google Home! Pairing this with OpenHAB has been a game-changer for me. If anyone is looking to expand their smart home without breaking the bank, I highly recommend exploring Broadlink. :hammer_and_wrench:

Another thing I wanted to mention is a workaround I discovered for grouping devices. By using a combination of scenes and smart rules, I’ve been able to create a more cohesive system. It’s not perfect, but it’s functional and has saved me a lot of time. If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing group controls, I’d love to hear them! :handshake:

Lastly, I wanted to express my gratitude to the community. The support and shared knowledge here have been invaluable. Whether it’s troubleshooting a tricky setup or just getting inspired by others’ projects, this community keeps me motivated. Here’s to more innovative solutions and collaborative learning! :earth_africa:

If anyone has questions about Govee, Broadlink, or smart home integrations in general, feel free to drop a comment. I’d be happy to help! Happy tinkering! :rocket:
