I’ve been really curious about whether the Govee vibration sensor, door/window sensor, and the always-sold-out motion sensor can reliably control other Govee products, especially the H6006 or H6008 light bulbs. I’ve heard mixed reviews, so I decided to give it a try myself.I started by setting up a basic automation: using the door/window sensor to trigger specific lights when the door opens. At first, it was a bit of a puzzle. I wasn’t sure if the sensor would communicate properly with the lights, but after some trial and error, I managed to get it working! The satisfaction of seeing the lights turn on exactly when I wanted was amazing.I also experimented with the vibration sensor. I placed it near a bookshelf to detect any movement, and it worked perfectly! It’s now part of a fun little system where a small light turns on if something moves, which is great for keeping an eye on things when I’m not home.One thing I learned is that consistent firmware updates and proper configuration are key. I also found that using the Govee app to set up automations made the process much smoother.
