I was one of the lucky chosen to test the Govee Smart Countertop Ice Maker (thank you Govee!). We are a family of 7 (6 currently living at home) and all of us love ice, we love it so much that we don’t even need to put it in a beverage, we’ll just chew it. We don’t currently have an ice maker in our fridge and since we are renting we can’t change that. I’ve gotten used to drinking lukewarm beverages (bleh) or having to fork over cash to buy ice or spend time filling up the plastic trays that then take up space in our freezer and aren’t very fast at filling. I’ve been thinking of getting a countertop ice maker, but haven’t had the opportunity to find one I really like. Needless to say, when I saw the opportunity for this I was thrilled! This is going to be a bit longer of a review, but I tried to test this device in all possible ways as soon as I received it a couple days ago and I have to say I’m pretty impressed by it. So here it goes… Packaging The box came with a picture of the ice maker on it so I knew right away what it was. It was packaged very securely in the box with 4 hard plastic corner protectors around the sides to make sure it didn’t bend and it was stable. Standard Govee quality in packaging.
