Govee Smart Lights and IFTTT Automation: A Perfect Combination

I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my Govee smart lights ever since I got them a few months ago. They’ve completely transformed the way I experience lighting in my home, and I wanted to share a fun little project I’ve been working on with the community. :star2:Earlier this week, I decided to dive into the world of smart home automation using IFTTT. I’ve heard so many great things about it, and I wanted to see if I could create something truly useful with my Govee lights. The goal was to set up a system that would notify me whenever a door in my home was opened or closed, using my Govee lights as the visual indicator. After some research and experimentation, I managed to create a simple yet effective setup. I connected my Govee lights to my smart door sensors through IFTTT. Now, whenever a door is opened, the lights flash a quick sequence, and when it’s closed, they dim down. It’s such a neat way to stay aware of activity in my home without constantly checking my phone. :rocket:One thing I did run into was a compatibility issue with my older devices. At first, I thought I might need to replace them, but I found a workaround by adjusting the settings in the Govee app. It’s amazing how a little tweak can make such a big difference! :bulb:I’d love to hear from others who’ve used IFTTT with their Govee devices. Have you created any cool automations? What tips or tricks have you picked up along the way? Let’s share our experiences and help each other make the most out of these fantastic devices! :handshake:
