Govee Smart Thermo-Hygrometer Feature Idea & Smart Home Automation Tips

Hey everyone, I’ve been really impressed with my Govee Smart Thermo-Hygrometer! It’s such a sleek device, but I have a small suggestion that could make it even better. I’d love it if the display could automatically light up when it’s dark outside, similar to how Indiglo watches work. It would be super handy for checking the temperature in the middle of the night without fumbling for the on button. Govee, if you’re listening, this would be a fantastic quality-of-life improvement! :crescent_moon::sparkles:

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with Wyze cameras lately and ran into an issue where the event videos weren’t saving properly to my microSD card. After some troubleshooting, I realized it was a firmware update that caused the problem. I ended up having to reformat the card and reset the camera settings, but it’s working smoothly now. If anyone else is having similar issues, I’d recommend checking for firmware updates and making sure your recording schedules are properly synced. :hammer_and_wrench::camera_flash:

I also wanted to share a fun project I’ve been working on with Node-RED. I set up an automated system to monitor my dog’s water bowl using an Aqara Water Leak Sensor. When the water level gets too low, it sends me a text and a push notification to refill. It’s been a game-changer for keeping my pups hydrated, especially during these hot summer months. Plus, the setup was super easy and I can clean it whenever needed. :paw_prints::droplet:

Lastly, I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on integrating Yeedi vacuums into their smart home setups. I recently bought a Yeedi Mop Station and it’s amazing, but I’m struggling to get it to work seamlessly with my existing ecosystem. If anyone has tips or workarounds, I’d be thrilled to hear them! :soap::robot:

Overall, it’s amazing how these devices can enhance our daily lives when set up just right. Happy automating everyone! :star2:
