Govee Star Light Projector Review and Velux Window Sensor Tips

I recently added the Govee Star Light Projector to my home, and it’s been a fantastic addition! The 3 Aurora Flowing Effects are absolutely stunning and really enhance the ambiance of my room. I love how it syncs perfectly with my TV, and the sound integration with Spotify is a great touch. Highly recommend this device for anyone looking to elevate their home entertainment experience! :star2:

On a different note, I’ve been experimenting with Velux window sensors for my 11 Dachfenster windows. I initially used Tür-Fenstermelder, but I noticed they sometimes trigger prematurely, which isn’t ideal, especially during rainy weather. After some research, I decided to try Drehgriffkontakte instead. They’ve been much more reliable and provide a more accurate reading of whether a window is fully closed or not. However, I did run into a few challenges:

  1. Installation: They were a bit tricky to install, especially since my windows are from 2000 (GPL U08). I had to ensure the contacts were properly aligned to work seamlessly.
  2. Reichweite: The range isn’t as extensive as the Tür-Fenstermelder, so I had to strategically place them to ensure optimal coverage.
  3. Integration: While they don’t directly connect to thermostats, I found a workaround by using a smart hub to bridge the connection. It took some tweaking, but it’s now fully integrated into my home automation system.

If you’re considering Drehgriffkontakte for your Velux windows, I’d recommend checking compatibility beforehand and possibly consulting the manufacturer’s guidelines for the best installation process. Happy automating! :bulb:
