I’ve been a fan of Govee products for a while now, but the Govee Strip Lights 2 Pro have truly blown me away. After waiting for some custom baseboards to install, I decided to play around with the new lights a bit, and I must say, the results are nothing short of amazing.
Brightness and Color Quality
From the moment I unboxed them, I could tell these lights were a step above the previous models. The new five-in-one chip technology makes the colors flow so smoothly and vibrantly. Compared to my old Govee RGBIC Pro strips, the difference is night and day. The colors are so much more vivid, and the brightness is incredible. I couldn’t wait to show these off in my videos!
Installation Experience
While I was excited to get these up, the installation process was a bit of a learning curve. I had to make sure the strips were perfectly aligned with the baseboards, and it took a few tries to get everything just right. But the end result was worth every minute of tweaking. I tried downgrading to an older version, but the LED status kept showing blue, and I couldn’t reconnect to the app. After some research, I realized it was a known issue, and sticking with the latest firmware was the best solution. Thankfully, the Govee community was quick to offer support and advice.

I’ve been impressed by how supportive the Govee community is. Whether it’s sharing tips, troubleshooting, or just showing off creative setups, everyone is so helpful. It’s clear that Govee has built a passionate and engaged user base, which makes the experience even better.
