I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my recent purchase of the Govee strip lights! 
After seeing so many glowing reviews and creative setups shared by the community, I decided to take the plunge and invest in a few sets for my home. The quality and versatility of these lights have exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to share some of the ways I’ve incorporated them into my smart home setup.
One of my favorite features is how seamlessly they integrate with my existing smart devices. Using the Govee app, I’ve been able to create custom scenes that sync perfectly with my daily routines. For example, in the mornings, the lights gradually brighten to simulate a sunrise, helping me wake up feeling more refreshed. At night, they dim to a warm, cozy glow, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation.
I’ve also been experimenting with automating my lights using the Boolean Toolbox app. It’s been a game-changer for creating complex logic flows without getting lost in a tangle of individual cards. For instance, I set up a rule where my lights automatically adjust based on the time of day and whether it’s occupied. It’s such a neat way to save energy and enhance convenience!
However, I did run into a minor hiccup with my Shelly Plus 2PM device recently. After a firmware update, it started acting up, disconnecting from my network and causing some unexpected behavior. Fortunately, after a bit of troubleshooting and resetting the device, it’s back to running smoothly. This experience reminded me of the importance of keeping firmware up to date and having a backup plan in case of issues.
