Hi everyone, I’ve been really excited about getting my hands on some Govee thermometers, especially after hearing great things about their design and features. I thought it would be a perfect addition to my smart home setup. However, I’ve run into a bit of a snag that I was hoping the community could help me with.
I’ve installed the Govee thermometers without any issues, and they’re working perfectly in terms of displaying temperatures and humidity levels. The sleek design and easy setup were a huge plus. But here’s the catch—I can’t seem to get them to work with Google Assistant. I was really looking forward to being able to just ask, ‘Hey Google, what’s the temperature in the living room?’ but so far, it’s not happening.
I’ve double-checked all the settings, made sure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are connected, and even tried restarting both the thermometer and my phone. Nothing seems to be working. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or if there’s a workaround I might be missing. Maybe there’s a specific app or integration I need to enable? I’ve heard Govee supports Matter, but I’m not entirely sure how that ties into Google Assistant compatibility.
If anyone has successfully connected their Govee thermometers to Google Assistant, I’d love to hear about your setup and any tips you might have. I’m really hoping to get this working because the rest of the device is fantastic, and it would be a shame not to fully integrate it into my smart home ecosystem.
