Govee Under Cabinet Lighting Installation & Tips

I recently installed Govee strip lights under my kitchen cabinets and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results! The colors and scenes are vibrant and customizable, which adds a whole new level of ambiance to my kitchen. However, I wanted to hide the individual diodes for a cleaner look, so I installed trim molding to the cabinet and then mounted the LED strip to the trim. This worked perfectly to conceal the strip while still allowing the light to shine through.

If anyone has tips or recommendations for a better installation method or product, I’d love to hear them! I’m also curious if others have tried similar setups and how they’ve optimized their under-cabinet lighting. The Govee app makes it so easy to adjust settings, but I’m always looking for ways to enhance my smart home experience.

Another thing I’ve been exploring is integrating my Honeywell thermostat with Home Assistant for better fan control. I’ve been able to set the fan mode, but it doesn’t seem to work consistently. If anyone has successfully configured their Honeywell thermostat to control the fan mode, please share your setup! I’d love to get this working seamlessly.

Overall, I’m really enjoying how customizable and versatile my smart home setup is becoming. It’s amazing how these small projects can make such a big difference in daily life. I can’t wait to see what other smart home projects I can tackle next!
