Hey everyone! I’ve been absolutely blown away by the Govee Glide Y Lights in music mode. The way they sync with the beat is just incredible! Here’s a quick clip I took last night – it’s such a great addition to our home entertainment setup. 
But I also wanted to share something really practical. We have a house cleaner who comes every other Friday, and I’ve been wanting a better way to let her in without giving out keys or codes. I finally figured it out using Home Assistant! 
I set up the system to detect her license plate when Frigate spots her car in the driveway. If it’s the right time, it automatically opens the garage door and sends me a notification with a live view of the driveway. It’s so seamless and secure! 
Here’s a quick peek at the config I used. I found it super helpful to add a few variations of her plate to make sure it catches it every time.
