H1 No Neutral switch controlling two smart lights and an extractor relay

I’ve recently set up a pretty nice automation with an H1 no neutral switch here in the UK lights are nearly always no neutral which is a bit challenging.

I have a zigbee light fitting in my Utility, and another in a wash room through the utility. The light switch for the washroom is in an annoying spot so i wanted a way to turn both on with the one switch.

The way i went about it is the H1 at the door in the utility replacing my standard switch. It’s connected directly into home assistant and running in decoupled mode. Because the switched light it controls i needed to add a bypass at the light.

The interesting thing is controlling 2 lights on different circuits in decoupled with a button tap not and on off switch.

When i first set up the automation it was tap switch toggle Light A and Light B. You see the issue? If they end up out of sync for any reason the switch toggles them off and on out of sync.

So back to the drawing board, in the end i can up with an automation with a conditional so that if one light is on the tap will set them both to on, then if both on the tap will turn them off, and if non on the tap will turn them on.

This works really well.
I then tried to add my washroom extractor into the automation, but i wanted a 5 min delay on the turning off the extractor. What i found was that the delay stopped the switch firing again for that same 5 mins. So you couldn’t turn the lights on and off within 5 mins. Not ideal.

The solution? I made a second automation which turns the extractor on based on the washroom light going on/off rather than the H1 switch activity. So the H1 turns the lights on, the light going on turns the washroom extractor relay control on. The washroom light going off then turns off the extractor relay after 5 mins. This works perfectly.
