I am using an H2 light switch with 2 buttons and 1 channel. I would like to use Matter Binding on the second button to control an Ikea outlet plug (on/off) in the room. Is this possible with H2 switches?
I suppose I could have the second button trigger an automation in Home Assistant, but I would rather not have such a simple scenario reliant on Home Assistant. I would rather leverage Matter Binding to control the plug from the switch directly.
From what I’ve found on my switches, these do not support binding. Instead, Aqara would have you use their proprietary MARS tech, which is like binding but only works with Aqara devices.
That said, I only tried Thread firmware briefly when setting up my switches a few months ago. It’s possible a firmware update has improved this!

As far as I know, H2 switches do not support Matter binding; perhaps this feature will appear on the device at some point.
