HA Success in Church Automation and Smart Home Tips

I’ve been exploring the amazing capabilities of HA in automating my church’s facilities, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer! :tada: We’re using HA to manage HVAC, video cameras, lights, and access control devices, which has significantly helped us save energy and streamline operations. The ability to remotely manage these systems while still allowing manual overrides has been incredibly useful. It’s so satisfying to see technology making a positive impact in such a meaningful space.

On a lighter note, I’d love to share a fun setup I’ve been working on at home. I recently programmed my TV to shut off at 9 PM unless it’s actively in use. It’s a simple automation, but it’s been a great way to encourage family time and reduce screen time! I used a Homematic measurement switch and set up a rule where the TV turns off at 21:00 unless motion is detected. It’s been working perfectly, though I had to tweak the rule a few times to ensure it doesn’t interfere with our evening routines. :hammer_and_wrench:

If anyone has tips for optimizing such automations or has tried something similar, I’d love to hear about it! Let’s keep the ideas flowing and make our smart homes even smarter! :rocket:
