Halloween is always a special time for me to get creative with lighting and smart home integrations. This year, I decided to take my outdoor lighting setup to the next level, but I quickly ran into a challenge with my Curtain Lights 2 units. The wind was causing them to sway and look disheveled, which was frustrating since I wanted everything to look polished for trick-or-treaters and passersby.
After some brainstorming, I came up with a clever solution using fishing line to secure the lights while keeping the setup invisible to the naked eye. It’s been working perfectly, and now my front yard looks as spooky and festive as I envisioned!
I also wanted to share a project I stumbled upon recently—a Sensibo integration that’s been getting a lot of attention in the community. The developer created a custom integration that allows seamless control of Sensibo pods through SmartThings. It’s been a lifesaver for managing my home’s temperature, especially during the crisp autumn nights.
