As Halloween approaches, I’ve been thinking about how to integrate my smart home devices into the festive decorations. I’ve successfully set up my outdoor lights to change scenes automatically, creating a spooky yet cool ambiance! 
However, I’ve encountered a challenge with my Vera 2 system. I want to control my existing Radio Ra installation alongside my Z-Wave devices without replacing my extensive lighting setup. I’ve managed to use my Universal Remote (MSC-400) to send serial commands, but I’m curious if Vera 2 offers enough flexibility for this without needing a dealer. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated! 
On another note, I’ve found that using RGBIC strips with a diffuser not only enhances the aesthetic but also provides better lighting quality. I’m considering running these along my bedroom ceiling for a softer glow. Has anyone tried this and have recommendations?
