Halloween Outdoor Lighting Setup - Tips and Tricks!
As Halloween approaches, I’m excited to share my recent experience setting up outdoor lighting for the spookiest season! 
I’ve been experimenting with smart lighting to create a spooky yet welcoming atmosphere, and I’d love to hear your tips or tricks for enhancing the setup!
My Setup Journey:
- Device Selection: I opted for a combination of string lights and spotlights, all controlled via a smart hub. The string lights add a warm glow, while the spotlights create dramatic effects.
- Automation: I used a simple automation to turn the lights on at sunset and cycle through different color modes throughout the night. It’s been a hit with the neighborhood kids!
Questions and Requests:- Energy Efficiency: I’m curious about ways to optimize energy usage without compromising on the spooky vibe. Any tips on scheduling or dimming?
- Color Coordination: I’d love advice on color combinations that enhance the Halloween theme without being too overwhelming.
- Safety Tips: Ensuring safety is a priority. Any recommendations on placement or materials to avoid hazards?
Personal Touch:
Adding a few motion-activated lights near the front steps has been a fun addition. It gives a little surprise effect as trick-or-treaters approach!
