HDMI-CEC Configuration and Smart Lock PIN Code Display Issues

Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with integrating my smart devices and troubleshooting some issues I encountered. I hope this can help others who might be facing similar challenges!

First, I was trying to set up my TV using the hdmi_cec integration in Home Assistant. I used the CEC Scanner add-on to identify my devices, and while the initial scan worked, I ran into some confusion with device addressing. The TV’s address was showing as 0.0.0.0, and I couldn’t get the correct HDMI port to switch using webhooks. After some research and trial and error, I realized that the address format needed adjustment. It was a bit frustrating, but with the community’s guidance, I finally got it working! :tada:

On another note, I recently added my Schlage Z-Wave door lock to Vera, and I noticed that the web interface only displays the first 10 PIN codes. I added an 11th code, but it wasn’t showing up. I reached out to the community, and someone suggested checking the Vera settings or contacting support. It turns out there’s no built-in way to view more than 10 codes, which is a bit inconvenient, but at least I know the codes are still active. I’m now looking into alternative methods to manage them more efficiently.

Overall, these experiences highlight the importance of community support and the need for better documentation. I’m grateful for the helpful tips I received and hope to contribute more to the community in the future! If anyone has similar issues or suggestions, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
